This medication is used to treat depression. It is also used with other therapies for the treatment of nighttime bed-wetting (enuresis) in children.

Uses
Side Effects
Dry mouth, blurred vision, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, stomach cramps, weight gain/loss, and increased sweating may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
When not to use
Starting imipramine in a patient who is being treated with linezolid or IV methylene blue is contraindicated because of an increased risk of serotonin syndrome.
