Indicated for the improvement of nutritional state in chronic liver impairment including those with hepatic encephalopathy.
Anorexia, vomiting, abdominal bloating, dry mouth, feeling thirsty.
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to milk and patients with GI atony or paralytic ileus, acute pancreatitis, severe maldigestion & malabsorption
Feeding regimens which include amino acids should be used with caution in patients with history of renal disease, pulmonary disease, or with cardiac insufficiency so as to avoid excessive fluid accumulation.
Boiling water should not be used for reconstitution in order to avoid denaturation of protein.
It should not be administered to patients with severe hepatic function disorder. Imbalance of Aminoleban may be aggravated with the use of Aminoleban resulting in the induction of hepatic coma.
It is not intended to be the sole source of nutrition and not to be used for parenteral administration.
