used to: Relieve symptoms of acid reflux, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This is a condition in which food or liquid moves up from the stomach to the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach). Treat a duodenal or stomach (gastric) ulcer.
It can cause headache, flatulance, dry mouth, abdominal pain, diarrhea etc.
Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or other proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)
Before taking esomeprazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to similar drugs (such as lansoprazole, omeprazole); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Daily long-term use (e.g., longer than 3 years) may lead to malabsorption or a deficiency of cyanocobalamin
Contains enteric coated granules (acid labile); do not chew or crush; take 1 hr before meals
It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. However, similar drugs pass into breastmilk. The effects on a nursing infant are unknown. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Some products that may interact with this drug include: cilostazol, clopidogrel, methotrexate(especially high-dose treatment), rifampin, St John's wort.
