It is a medicine used to improve blood sugar control in adults with diabetes mellitus.
Injection site reactions (such as pain, redness, irritation) may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to insulin, or if you are having an episode of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)., hypokalemia, CHF, liver or kidney disease.
Before using insulin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other insulins; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Do not use this medication when you have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Use a needle and syringe only once and then place them in a puncture-proof "sharps" container. Follow state or local laws about how to dispose of this container. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets. Never share an injection pen or syringe with another person, even if the needle has been changed.
Do not use the mixture if it looks clear or has particles in it. Call your pharmacist for new medicine.
