It is an effective medicine to treat spasm or twitches of the smooth muscles in the stomach and heart. It is used to relieve pain caused due to irritable bowel syndrome, headache, menstrual periods, and is also used to relieve cervical spasm during labor.
Dry mouth, change in pulse rate, difficulty in breathing, fall in blood pressure.
Hypersensitivity to the drug, Severe liver/kidney damage and Heart Failure.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: personal or family history of psychiatric disorders (such as bipolar/manic-depressive disorder), personal or family history of suicide attempts, bleeding problems, personal or family history of glaucoma (angle-closure type), high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, seizuredisorder, stomach problems (such as slow emptying of the stomach), use/abuse of alcohol.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having a liver function impairment. Appropriate dose adjustments and safety monitoring are advised if the impairment is severe.
Use of this medicine can cause a fall in blood pressure levels and hence should be used with caution in patients having a disease of the heart and blood vessels.
This medicine is not recommended for use if you are breastfeeding as the risks of adverse effects on the infant are significantly high. Consult your doctor and discuss the risks associated with the use of this medicine.

Some drugs that may interact with this drug are Atropine, Diclofenac, Levodopa and Diazepam.
