This medication is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders).
Drooling, drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, shaking (tremor), vision problems (e.g., blurred vision), and weight gain may occur. Many of these effects (especially drowsiness) lessen as your body gets used to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.
Before taking clozapine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
